NCAEYC shares Power to the Profession presentation

In November, 2018 Lori Barnes, Executive Director of North Carolina Association for the Education of Young Children addressed the North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education commission with a presentation on the current decision cycle of the national initiative Power to the Profession.  Barnes encouraged commissioners and meeting attendees to communicate with her office with comment, to attend the NCAEYC annual conference in Raleigh on December 1, and to reach out to Karen Ponder, the national task force facilitator of Power to the Profession.  Barnes reminded attendees that the current decision cycle of the draft will accept public comment through April 30, 2019.
