Mountaintop Montessori School designs models of all-abilities park
ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Middle school students at Mountaintop Montessori School have spent all week working on a prototype for Bennett's Village in Charlottesville.
Bennett's Village is set to be an all-abilities park named after five-year-old Bennett McClurkin-Gibney, who passed away in February due to spinal muscular atrophy.
This week, the students traveled to Arc Park in Richmond, which is the only all-abilities park in Central Virginia, to get a feel for what an all-abilities park is like. Read more.
