Montessori school opens in Southern Pines

In the primary classrooms, some students may just have turned three, while the older students may be nearly six. Next door, lower elementary groups the six- and seven-year-old students. The Montessori system has traditionally taught students in three- or four-year age groups in the interest of stability — the same teacher for multiple years — and so that older students can help younger ones.  Read more.
