Spring Networking Event featured Research Review

On Saturday, April 28, 2018, the Virginia Montessori Association Spring Networking Event featured guest speaker Katie Brown, PhD.  Brown's discussion topic was entitled Montessori and Students of Color: Reviewing the Research and Charting a Path Forward.  Brown serves as the DC Regional Coordinator at the National Center for Montessori in the Public Sector, and studied outcomes of African American students in public Montessori schools while earning her PhD in urban education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Participants and those interested are invited to read Brown's 2017 article in the Journal of Montessori Research, as well as view the slides from the discussion.
